Project Overview
Kiewit Infrastructure needed a gantry to pick up, transport, and accomplish fine positioning of two 159,000 LB, 11 FT tall valves.
Custom Hydraulic Gantry System for Precision Valve Handling
The gantry was powered by an onboard HPU driving a hydraulic drive system on each of the 4 bogies. Max carrier speed was 5 FPM. The gantry utilized 3x 8 IN bore cylinders hung from a hydraulic XY sideshift table to lift the valve for transport. The gantry weighed 28,000 LB and was 15.8 FT tall.
